Condensation in Nest Outdoor Cam

timlopez
Community Member

I see a few previous threads, but they're locked.

Did anyone solve the Condensation in Nest Outdoor Cams? I, like those of you who posted about it, are just outside of my warranty and these 'weather resistant' cameras prove to not be that resistant to moisture. I would like to get the moisture out so I can continue to use the camera.

I contacted support and while they were so happy to have me contact them for this issue, they said that since it's out of warranty, they can't do anything, nor would they suggest any solutions besides 'keep using it'.

Sadly, if I need to replace this device, I'll just end up migrating over to another platform and selling the nest doorbell and 7 other cameras on ebay.

Hi timlopez,

Since your camera is no longer in warranty. We won't be able to proceed with its replacement. You can check this link for our replacement policy: https://goo.gle/3vDD0MG. We know that this isn't the answer you're looking for and we hope we can make it up to you in the future. Let me know if you have other questions as I'll be locking the thread after 24 hours.

Thanks,

JT

I’d love to find out from others what they’ve done to remove the condensation. Can’t get that from a locked thread.

@timlopez

I am unaware of such an option, but I am sure if you did an internet search you may find what you're looking for. I am just not familiar with any steps to clean out this condensation.

Best regards,

Brad

Hey timlopez,

Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let us know.

Thanks,
