Condensation in the camera

I have a Nest Cam Doorbell and it's been having a condensation spot inside of it that I can not get rid of.. its really scary that I can't see and it's defeating the purpose of having a camera. I don't want to switch to another company in hopes someone can fix it or replace it. It has not been a whole year yet that I've had it. Someone please help!

Hi Suelei515,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I am sorry that you are having issues with your Nest Doorbell and the condensation in the camera. But no need to worry, help is here.

Environmental Factors:
Humidity:
High humidity levels can contribute to condensation.

  • Temperature Fluctuations: Large temperature differences between indoor and outdoor environments can cause condensation.
  • Placement: Ensure the doorbell is installed in a location with adequate airflow and minimal exposure to direct sunlight or rain.

Doorbell Design:

  • Ventilation: Check if there are any vents or openings on the doorbell designed to allow moisture to escape. Let it dry by sunlight if possible.
  • Seal Integrity: Inspect the doorbell for any visible signs of damage or compromised seals.

To assist you better, we'll need some additional information. I'm sending you a secure form where you can provide all the necessary details and also please fill out all the information required.
