Confused on why my battery operated doorbell is showing battery symbol when hardwired

Hello

I’m confused on why I have a battery symbol on my camera when it’s it’s connected to two wires in the back so meaning it’s hardwired so I’m unclear why it’s showing that and will I ever lose the feed? What do I do in this situation and another curiosity I have is that the doorbell balances in place but doesn’t seem the lock into place. So if I grab it or lift up, it comes off pretty easily. I don’t know how to attach a picture here so this is the best I feel like I can describe it

mine does on the hub display but not on the app or website. Always stays at around 75% when you click on it.

Hi Mikedaugerdas,

Thanks for posting in the community!

I'm so sorry to hear that you're seeing a battery icon, even though the camera is hardwired. No worries; I'm here to help! I suppose you are seeing a battery icon "charging" instead of a battery icon with the infinite icon. There are some steps we can take that might solve this situation:

  • Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app. Sometimes this can be just a glitch in the Google Home app.
  • Check the camera wiring. Check that all the connections are well connected and that there is no debris or loose cable.

Regarding the loose doorbell

  • Check if the mounting screws are loose and tighten them if necessary. Be careful not to overtighten and damage the doorbell.
  • Check for a broken part on the doorbell.

Let me know how it goes. I'll be happy to assist further if you have more questions.

Best regards,

Nery.
