Crack in power cord

My Nest IQ outdoor (about a year old) recently started messaging "the camera is offline."  After some trouble shooting I noticed that the power cord is cracked at the base of the plug. Is this something that can be repaired (with a splice) or do I need to get an entire new cord and run it through the attic again?  TIA.

Good luck open a ticket with support.  They don't sell "old" camera stuff they want to sell the lie of new camera accessories.  In all honesty I believe they still have the before "battery" outdoor cable kits.  You need to filter to maybe find their availability, or check eBay.
