I'm currently having difficulty removing the camera from its mounting bracket in order to perform a factory reset. Upon inspection, I do not see any visible set screws, release slots, or other obvious mechanisms to detach the camera. Additionally, it appears that the camera may be hardwired, which is making the removal process more challenging. Any guidance or documentation regarding how to safely detach the camera from the mount without causing damage would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the video, but I’m not seeing a slot or a screw on the top.

Your post says you have a gen 2 doorbell. By any chance do you have the Gen 1 NEST HELLO doorbell? Check out his video that shows the same removal process but you do it from the bottom...

Have the nest doorbell version with the G in the center and the camera itself has the diagonal line so I’m assuming it’s gen 2 or gen 1.5?

Gen 1 has the word "NEST" in the middle on the front and it is kind of shiny. So it sounds like you are on the newer one as you originally stated. Are you sure there is no slot at the top? You have to look really closely because it is a little hidden as the back slants down a little bit. You use the tool they show or a very small thin screwdriver and when you push down in that slot it should release the doorbell comes off. Be very careful because people have reported many times then end up dropping the camera and the lens breaks when it hits the ground.
