Delay notification & sound Nest Doorbell to Nest mini

I have a Google Nest Doorbell to my liking, but since a few months we experience a very long delay between pressing the doorbell and the sound inside the house/notifications on our phones.

The sound and notifications on the phones are simultaneous, but with a delay of 10 secs from the doorbell push.

This wasn't the case from the start. The only thing I have changed are wifi-extenders (mesh) to fix a bad wifi connection.

The delay is long enough for visitors to think we aren't at home. Can I adjust something for this issue?

Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on. A few questions: is the issue happening with push notifications or both email and push? Do you receive push notifications on multiple devices? Also, is your mobile device connected to a network?

 

Try to connect the mobile device to another Wi-Fi or cellular network. Signing in to your account on another mobile device and triggering a notification to test might also help isolate this.

Hi Juni,

The issue is with both notifications, we receive them both simultaneous via Google Nest and Google Home App. Both notifications are then delayed.

We receive them on a iPhone and Android phone.

I don't have another Wifi in place, which will be a bit hard to test without a different router. Does this also means I have to add the Google Nest to that second network as well?
