I saw a person leave the house. When the recording was shown to me there was no one there. Can account holders delete recordings?

Yes. I think on the nest app cams clips downloaded are removed from cloud or you can clear all history. You can also clear all history on newer home app ones too but iv never paid attention to what happens when a clip is downloaded

So do you know if it can be done? Or you think it can be done?
Genuinely curious, as there's no definitive answer as to it being possible based off the actual question.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, as I can imagine it has been an inconvenience. I would love to look into this further for you. Yes, the account holder can delete clips if they choose to. However, it is possible that the event may not have been recorded properly. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.
Best regards,
Brad

Hi folks,
@KD81 we understand that you wanted to have this issue resolved and we're here to help you out. While we can't share our email address here, we can give troubleshooting steps or options to know what's causing the problem. To confirm, were you able to perform the simple restart that Brad suggested? Do you have a Nest Aware subscription?
I appreciate your help, Brad.
Best,
Emerson

Yes.
Thank you everyone. I am not the account holder of the device. I was at my home watching my fiancés door. To elaborate, when the footage from that day is shown to me, the person I saw did not appear. Can the account holder delete that one incident & leave the rest of the day’s video in tact? Or am I crazy & seeing things? TIA

Hey KD81,
You’re welcome! If you’re pertaining to deleting the video clip. Yes, the account holder can delete a video clip and so does the family account. If there was a person detected at the time with an active Nest Aware subscription. You should’ve received a camera notification about that and a recorded video. You may do a recap by accessing the camera's full history in the Nest app or Google Home app.
Let us know if you have more questions in mind.
Thanks,
JT

The question, again, can an event be basically cherry picked and removed from a feed? Let's say someone walks out. Yes, it's going to capture that as AN EVENT and it's recorded. As it works that way with the subscription.
Now, the question... Can that event that's been recorded. Be removed? If so. HOW? And again, is it possible? Yes you can download clips and events to links and saved media, but the question, again. Can an event be removed from the feed?

Hi there,
I just wanted to pop in, and let y'all know that you can only dismiss the event, but you cannot delete it from your video history feed. Sorry if this is an inconvenience to some, but dismissing the event is all you can do at this time.
Best regards,
Brad

To further explain what KD81 is asking. Is there a way to remove clips from the feed? I've been on the account and there's no way to select an area of the feed that can be deleted. Nowhere on the account can you delete certain clips. Only option there is, deleting the entire history.
If there's a way to delete specific clips, then that's the actual question. Can a event be deleted?
If there's a way to. Can the "experts" give specific directions on how it's done. Not some vague "I think" or not actual steps on how it's done.
Frustrating when someone says they think they know but it's not specific if it's actually the way it's done.
