Detecting wrong face

My camera incorrectly labeled a face from my face library when they came and knocked on my door.  The label was incorrect as I never seen this person before.  The title of the event is the name of the person the camera thought it was but there is no way to change or edit it.  I'm confused as to why not?  How is the camera supposed to learn and if I can't edit it?

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. When you add or change a name of a person in the familiar face library in the Home app or Nest app, the change is also reflected in the other app.

Home app

1. Open the Google Home app .

2. Tap Settings> Nest Aware> Familiar face detection

3. To add or change the name, tap a face and enter a new name.

Nest app

1. Open the Nest app.

2. Tap Settings> Familiar faces.

3. Tap on the familiar face profile you want to name.

4. Tap Name.

5. Give the person a new name. You can use their actual name or enter a description like “mail carrier.”

I still need to answer my question.   You completely ignored what I said and gave me inaccurate instructions.  You did not attempt to solve my problem and offered me a generic response with old instructions.  

I do not want to add or edit a face in the familiar face library; the face in the library is correct.  I like to edit the actual event itself.  The reason is that the camera recorded the event incorrectly using a face from my familiar face library, but this is inaccurate as I've never seen this face before. It's not the person the camera thought it detected.  However, the event is listed under that person's name and has the face attached to the event, so my question is, how can I resolve this? How can I fix the event's name and remove the face attached to the event?  I don't see any options to edit this.

I tried your suggested solutions to add or change faces.  All that I can do is delete faces via the Home app.  No options are visible for me to add or change faces. I even deleted one face, and yet the video clip still shows the name of the face I deleted..ugh!  So… what’s wrong or where do I go to add or change faces?  

PS: I have an active Nest Aware subscription.
