For anyone searching about the 'low battery' issue with the Wired Floodlights, after spending 90 minutes on the Support Team merry-go-round of 'turn the power of' and 'is it plugged in right?' It was confirmed from their Senior Support that it, and I quote, "it looks like an issue is with the hardware of the camera."
BUT...
Since it's out of warranty, even though it's clearly a hardware issue that has made the $300 camera useless, Google is unwilling to do anything about it.
There are multiple threads about this with no real solutions because Google does not have one. They acknowledged the problem back to me via email and seem to be lucking out that most of the time it's going fully dead after folks warranty has expired. I firmly believe there is a fundamental design flaw in the battery or charging solution for this camera and they won't invest to fix it or make things right for their customers.
Who would have thought that a WIRED camera would be thwarted by a bad battery.
The other interesting thing is that I never received any notifications that the battery was dead. I noticed I wasn't getting alerts anymore and had to go find out for myself the device was offline, and apparently dead.
Unfortunately Google doesn't seem to care about my business. I have two homes with subscriptions and will be moving away from their solutions across the board based on this. I hope this post helps others having the same issue so they can start saving up to renew their $300 per year floodlight subscription.

We've had a battery camera for 20 months, plugged in with the optional power cable. I believe it is the same camera used in the floodlight fixture.
Google Nest says this: "Nest Cam (battery) works differently than Nest Doorbell (battery). For wired installation setups with a Nest Cam (battery), the wires power the camera directly." (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/11830989) As long as your floodlight camera is receiving power, it should be operating and the battery should not run down. Ours has been "Live" and online continuously, and the battery remains charged.
However, I've seen the same posts reporting battery issues with the powered floodlight camera. Something is not right.

I genuinely understand the inconvenience you have faced. I am in on this right away! We'd be happy to take a look at this for you.
@fdevans, Could you tell us the case ID from the interaction with our support team so I can take a closer look?
@Anonymous, we're sorry for the trouble you experienced with our Nest product. Can you tell us what happened? Hopefully, we can still give you a hand here.
@MplsCustomer, thanks for the help.
I look forward to your response.

Google do not give a hoot about you me their employees or anyone at all. All google care about is $$$$. So I just go out of my way to do exactly what you're doing here and leave negative feedback wherever i can on their faulty products. Every time i see a google or google associated products i have had problems with advertised and i can leave negative feedback on said products i do. In the last 48 hours i have left no less than 6 negative ratings on google products being advertised online. So far on those reviews i have had 20 plus consumers reply with "yes" my review has helped them decide with their purchase of those products. All up over the years i would say im well into the thousands of replies saying "yes" my review has helped them decide with their purchase. I checked the email i use for those reviews only this morning and there's page after page literally hundreds upon hundreds of "yes" replies. So if all those yes replies were going to spend between $10 and $1000 on those faulty google products and now they no longer are then my job is done. I do not expect google to be bothered by losing a few hundred thousand dollars but if everyone did it they might up their game a bit. Sadly google just do not care they are too big a company to care about their consumer. All i can do is what you're doing and steer unsuspecting consumers away from googles faulty products. So thank you i will not be buying a floodlight or will i be recommending to anyone they buy one either.

Still need help? Google has denied helping me as they won't replace the obviously flawed design based on how many complaints happen in this forum about the same thing. There is an issue with the power management and they don't seem to care. If you want to help connect me with a Product Manager for these that will actually listen to feedback and work the problem.
