I have factory reset 3 times, restarted router, moved doorbell right next to router, removed and redownloaded google home app twice, charged battery to 100%…
= live video unavailable
go back to Arlo?

Hi, I have been having a similar issue for months where the doorbell stream to my Nest Hub drops out and comes back then drops out and stays out. The odd thing is that whilst its dropped out I can still get a perfect stream on my iPad so its not the doorbell connecting to the internet its the stream from google to the hub. I am so frustrated that when my Nest Camera subscription renews I am going to move to another doorbell solution like Arlo or Ring etc.

I have exactly the same problem with a nest doorbell battery and nest floodlight camera. I have given up factory resetting and re-adding and am waiting some sort of fix from google. They have already replaced my doorbell once

Same here... Have 2nd Gen Wired Doorbell. Live view does not work. Everything else works (i.e. notifications, door chime, turn on/off, ect.). The live view does not work in the Home App and/or Home.Google.com. All other nest cameras in my echo system work correctly.
Thanks,

Hi folks,
Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. Could you all try adjusting the video quality settings and observe if it makes a difference. Check out the steps below:
Important: If the camera encounters bandwidth issues and video starts to buffer, it automatically adjusts downward slightly to prevent the camera from disconnecting, and it will automatically adjust its resolution and compression according to how much bandwidth is available.

Juni

I did a factory reset on the doorbell and is now working again.

That sort of says Google know they have a problem though I think my problem is with all the first generation hubs I have 2x large and 1x small. I have thought about buying new ones but then if it’s the same it’s a waste of cash so will just move to another platform when my subscription runs out. I have turned my hubs off as they are useless

Anyone know of a doorbell similar to Nest or Ring that allows a stream to an iPad or similar device. I am done with Nest as it costs an annual fee but doesn’t work so am not renewing my subscription when it comes up.

What have you done!! asking if we need MORE help suggests you have fixed the problem. My problem is certainly not fixed but then I am no longer expecting it to be. The slowing of activity ios because Google has done nothing to solve the proble.

Hello Johngilham,
Thanks for getting back to us. To confirm, have you tried removing your Nest Hub from your app and re-adding it? Aside from your Nest Doorbell and Nest Hub, do you have other Nest products? Try creating a new home structure and add your Nest Doorbell and Nest Hub then check its behavior.

Emerson

I really don’t know how many times I have to say it but I have done a factory reset, the door bell works fine because I have a constant stream on my iPad but it’s my Nest Hub that loses the stream.
I am finished repeating myself. Over and out

I HAVE SAID IT SO MANY TIMES. IT IS NOT! NOT THE DOORBELL AS IT WORKS FINE ON MY IPAD WHEN THE HUB DOESN'T DISPLAY THE STREAM FROM THE DOORBELL SO ANYONE WITH THE SLIGHTEST INTELLIGENCE WILL REALISE IF THE STREAM IS AVAILABLE ON MY IPAD THE DOORBELL MYST BE WORKING. FOR GODS SAKE HOW MANY TIMES MUST I TELL GOOGLE.

I have already filled in this form how many more forms do you need or perhaps there is a problem with that as well.
Blimey I would never ever buy a Google phone or any other product as it’s clear you can’t sort a simple problem that was once fine. So many people complaining about this and photo frame freezing that would prevent me buying anything else with Google on it. I purchased a hub for a gift as someone liked my photo fram now I am embarrassed as that gift doesn’t work.
