Doorbell Losing Power

So I installed the doorbell a few weeks ago and have had zero problems with it.  The last couple days the doorbell loses power for about 4 hours.  I checked and the light on the front which is green when connected and blue when not is off.  No breaker issues and I used a volt meter on the transformer and got 18V's.  There seems to be no issues with it when someone rings the doorbell.  The video one night was lost from 3-6 am and last night from 5-9am.  Again prior to 2 days ago it has power 24/7.  Any ideas?

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with your Nest Doorbell that is losing power. I understand how frustrating it can be when things do not work as expected. But don't worry; help is here. In this case, I just need to ask for some information to provide the best solution to this situation:

  • Do you have a battery or wired-doorbell?
  • Where did you buy it? 
  • Do you see if the doorbell still connects to the app?
  • Did you try other steps to solve the situation?
