Doorbell camera 2nd gen

Wired doorbell has started to periodically drop the WiFi connection the reconnect later. After initial installation there were no issues for almost two years. I done the reset process multiple times along with rebooting router. Any ideas what I can do to correct. No issue with the non- wired cameras.

Hi @Ganestuser!

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen) has started to periodically drop its Wi-Fi connection after working correctly for almost two years. I appreciate your efforts in taking those steps before. I'm happy to help you!

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • Have there been any changes to your home network recently?
  • Are you receiving any error messages in the Google Home app?
  • How far is the Nest Doorbell from the router?
  • Are there other devices connected to the same Wi-Fi where the doorbell is connected? Are they working properly?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the doorbell?
  • What Wi-Fi frequency band is your doorbell connected to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,
Geremi
