Doorbell is NOT recording, records fine during the day

Doorbell does NOT record at night, 9pm-7am, records fine during the day, and records all activity.

wired doorbell, wired gen 2.

Our Google Nest cameras and doorbells do NOT do as well at detecting events at night, but since we have a Nest Aware Plus subscription, they do record the events.

Just to be clear your post says you are using the NEST APP but it also says you have a Gen 2 camera which does not work with the NEST APP.   Are you maybe using the GOOGLE HOME APP?  Or you have the Gen 1 HELLO camera?

Gen 2 Google doorbell.  Works fine during the day, nothing at night.

Wow,,, scratching my head on this one.    

In the SETTINGS there is something called PRESENCE SENSING that you set options when the camera is at home verses away.  Is it possible something in there is active?

I think your next step is to speak to a google tech person.  Here is the link to open a support tick and speak with someone.  If you do this set aside an hour or so as they will most likely want to perform basic trouble shooting.
