Doorbell peeling

My nest doorbell is peeling and I tried calling and because it’s out of warranty they said there is nothing they could do for me. I don’t want to have to change over to a different brand doorbell and change out all my other Google products.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, as I can imagine it has been an inconvenience. I am afraid, as your device is out of warranty, we aren't able to offer you a replacement. However, I have heard that there are silicone sleeves that can be purchased online, to further help protect your Nest Hello doorbell. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions or concerns.

Best regards,
Brad

The first doorbell I had did the same thing and they sent me a replacement. Now the replacement is doing the same thing peeling. Does my warranty start from when I got the replacement? This seems to be a defect of the product and I’m confused as to why Google has not fixed the problem. It’s not like it’s a cheep doorbell.

You would want to go over your options with support. We cannot handle these requests here in the forum. It is always best to reach out to support directly when it comes to replacement inquiries.

Hi everyone,

@Curlz927 thanks for getting back to us and for sharing this information. Replacement for warranty Nest devices is done with our support team. The warranty of your Nest devices would start by the time that you activated it. I would suggest you report it by filling out this form with all the needed information. Let me know once you’re done.

Thanks for answering, Brad.

Regards,
Emerson

Hi folks,

Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.

Regards,
Emerson

they do make some plastic 3rd part covers... search amazon and Ebay

maybe search for a metal paint, and be very carful and create a custom paint job!
