Doorbell plastic is peeling quite drastically. Google support not able to help

Doorbell protective plastic peeling quite drastically. Not causing any functional deficits yet, but have concerns that it will in the long run. Google support unable to help because it's past the warranty period. 
I am in the north of France with a northern exposure so not much sun.
Quite disappointed in Google's support, as we are very loyal customers I have 15 Google devices . Thanks in advance!
