Greetings,
I would like to download and share my entire video history. Is this possible? I only see where you can select a clip and share it, but not select entire history.
Thanks very much,
S L D

Go to takeout.google.com and scroll down until you get to Nest. From there, you can choose to download 1, 3, 6, or 12 days of video history or, download the lot.

Thank you davidking and Archie for checking in. I followed do’s instructions and a few days later (today actually) I received a message saying “Something went wrong and we couldn’t create a copy of your Google data. You can try to create a new export.”
…Not the most very helpful message but I will try it again.
When I chose download it asked me what size so I went for the max size of 50gigs since I thought my video history will be quite large. Maybe I will try a small amount for back up this time so it doesn’t take as long.
Thank you again to everyone for helping!

Hi Archie,
Tried to download history again and got the same message:
Something went wrong and we couldn’t create a copy of your Google data. You can try to create a new export.
Not sure what went wrong, again. Last time I tried the max 50 gig download size since entire history could be too large. This time I tried the minimum 2 gig download size, even though it would be broken up into chunks.
Any tips on what I am doing wrong or what else I could do to make this work would be greatly appreciated!
Best,
S L D

Hey SLD0,
I'm sorry for the delay. What type of Nest camera do you have? Also, are you using the Google Home app or Nest app to access your device?
Thanks,
Archie

Hi Archie,
Thanks for your message. I got the outdoor cameras and a doorbell from Google a few months back. They are the battery type but I keep them constantly plugged in. I use the Google Home app.
I am surprised how difficult this process is. One of the reasons I chose Google was because I believed they were big and smart enough to make this easy. Maybe it’s just me…

Hi JT,
Thanks for your message. I tried this several times using the largest 50 gig download size, down to the smallest 2 gig download size. After a few days I always got the same message, essentially that it couldn’t download, try again.
I followed the instructions. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi there,
Thanks for the heads up! Please try downloading less than 50 Gigabytes file size to see if it goes through.

Hi JT,
I haven’t had luck getting it to work yet. Neither 50gb nor 2gb worked. What download file size do you recommend?
Thanks,
sld
