Duplicate Siri Announcements

Via the Google Home app, the notifications that come through double up when using Siri Announce. The actual notifications on the screen aren’t duplicated, but Siri always reads a single notification out twice which is extremely frustrating.

I’ve tried removing the app and re-doing all the settings and short of disabling Siri announcing Google Home notifications, I’m at a loss. It doesn’t happen with any other app, nor the Nest app for my older camera.
