Extremely low speaker volume

The_Crafts_Man

I have Nest IQ indoor and outdoor webcams, a Hub Mini, a Hub Max and video doorbell.  When I use my Nest or Home app to speak through the mic to any of these devices, the volume is VERY low and people standing directly under the camera can barely hear me.  Additionally, there is no way to adjust the speaker volume in the Nest or Home app.  2-way audio and the motion tracking are the 2 primary reason's I bought the expensive camera's.  I have the latest versions of the Nest and Home apps on my Samsung Note 10 plus.  I sincerely hope Google has a fix for this that can be rolled out fast because Ring is starting to look more and more inviting.

I'm not sure this is helpful but I believe there are other threads here where people are saying it is a bug if you are using an Android phone and people are waiting for a fix from Google.  If you have access to an iPhone maybe you can test it just to see if it works.

I have an iphone and am experiencing the exact same issue with low talk through volume. When I first purchased the expensive outdoor camera approximately two years ago the volume was loud and an intruder could hear me from a distance. Something has changed with either a software or firmware update. With the volume now being so low the camera is almost rendered useless for the security purpose it is suppose to serve.  I would hope Google/Nest support would escalate a fix or take the camera off the shelves until a fix is provided.

I still need assistance. You need to fix the volume issue  at your end. Put the volume back to where it was originally. Back out the change that lowered the volume. Please take responsibility and fix.
