I'm using my Apple phone to manage the Google Nest battery Doorbell.
I live on a busy street with lots of traffic and people walking by. I've set up a 'zone' in an attempt to limit the field of view for the camera so it doesn't record and track every car and person who goes by. I've also set up the 'outside of zone' to not record anything or send notices but I continue to receive notices for almost every car that goes by and definitely for every person who walks by. I'm finding it very annoying that I'm getting so many notices and because the camera is recording so many 'events', my battery is only lasting 3-4 days before needing to be recharged.
How do I set the doorbell camera to only record when someone walks up the steps to the porch (a defined zone) and to not record every car/person who goes by?

I think it's fair to ask Google whether Activity Zones work differently on the new Google Nest Battery Doorbell than on the Google Nest Hello doorbell. On our front door Nest Hello doorbell, we have an activity zone for the sidewalk and street and we never get notices for cars on the street or people walking down the sidewalk because we have notices turned off for that zone.

Thank you. I'll check with Google about the Zones.

See this thread; maybe it will help. The post by customer "sporfrog" refers to having success with an "exclusion zone":
