Nest Door Bell visitor announcment says camera is off, but works fine on everything else

I am not able to find the Nest Door bell wired in this list, so selected Battery. But this issue has been coming up all over and sometimes get resolved when we toggle the visitor annoucmenets flag in Nest settings. But this is very annoing to many of us, and google simply dont recognize this as an issue. not worth a $170 for a door bell when it doesn't do they very purpose it was brought for. Now I have tried many threads in google, but the bot there keeps closing it and no one really comes forward from google. Now that I ranted about my frustration of no support from google, let me describe the issue.

My 1st generation door bell was working perfectly well until about 4-5 months prior. Then on when some one presses door bell the Nest HUB and onthe MObile it will show a circling trying to show the video feed, but will never show it. On the nest hub after a while it will say Camera is off. If you try the same time to access without the door bell, like open the camera, you can see the fee alright. It some how doesn't work from the Visitor announcements. BTW, I dont pay the $6 monthly subscription(already paid 170 for it right?).

We need a fix for this from google. Resetting and everything will work only for a short duration and then it will go back to same thing.

I reached out and spoken with the Help desk. Visitor Announcment toggling is no logerworking. So we took the Door bell out plugged it on an Micro USB and debugged. Reset the Camera and then Reset Nest HUB. Now its working fine.

Resetting the Camera is tricky and needs a lot of work. First you need to remove it from the Nest App. Then You need to use the sim tool to remove the camera and then press the reset hole using the sim tool and the door bell button together for 10 Seconds to reset. After that add it back in Nest App. BTW it didn't resolve the Nest Hub Problem, so had to reset the Nest HUB also.

Resetting NEST HUB - Remove it from Google home app by going to the device and remove. Press both the Volume UP and Down buttons for 10 Seconds. Then add back in the Google Home App.

For me it worked after this. Only thing I regret is my Nest Cam plastic is peeling off. It looks ugly. It was like this for a long time, but I just realized that if I had talked to them while I was under warranty I could have got a replacement. It is a outdoor camera and it was not supposed to peel off like that. May be colder climates is not good for the 1st Gen cameras.
