Floodlight/Camera Scheduling Idea for Google Home App

I was very disappointed that you cannot schedule the Nest Floodlight Camera product after I installed 5 of them, but since I replaced all my Floodlights with these, they already had a light switch that controlled the previous floodlights. There are a total of 3 light switches, and if I were to replace these light switches with some sort of WiFi device, could I set up a routine that I could schedule (lets say a sunrise and sunset) that controlled the power to the Floodlight Cameras?

And, if so: 1) Would powering them off and on daily harm them in any way?  2) What light switch device could someone recommend that works best with the Google Home app?

Well, after I wrote this, I might have just realized, would the battery take over and defeat the purpose? I might as well ask anyway lol.
