Front of camera removed

When I was trying to remove my doorbell to paint my door frame, I accidentally pulled the front cover off and tore a contact strip inside. I haven’t checked to see if it will work still, but I assume it’s toast. Has anyone else had this happen? And if so, will Google help or maybe replace it?
