Getting nest cam to appear in the Nest app

I have successfully set up the camera in the Google home app. I am now trying to get it to appear in the Nest app which I use for the thermostat. When I go to add product it sends me to the Google Home app to set up all over again. How do I get the Nest app to simply recognize that I now have a nest cam second generation set up?

Unfortunately, the 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in Sept. 2021 can ONLY be installed in the Google Home app.  We discovered this in Sept. 2021 when we bought a battery camera, and have had to use 2 apps ever since.
