Google Home can't find wired Doorbell

I just installed Nest Doorbell (wired Gen 2). followed instructions and the app asked if I see blue light on the bell and clicked Yes. Then the app tried to connect to the bell - connecting..... then failed multiple times. message is "Try moving closer to your next doorbell (I can't close than right next to the device). What is the problem here?

This is just a guess on my part but maybe try moving your nest connect closer to the lock.
