Until recently, our Nest doorbell would ring a chime on our Android devices to let us know someone was at the door. It no longer does this.
In addition, I had a very specific notification sound set for detected activity for the camera.
When I called support last night- they were NOT able to get the chime to ring on my phone (and told me it never had done that in the past- but I know it DID).
They had me uninstall/reinstall the Nest app. Now I can no longer set a custom notification sound for the camera activities..
Can anyone help me figure out how to get the doorbell to "chime" on my phone (otherwise what good is a DOORBELL that you don't hear ring?), and reset the custom notification sound?
I am very frustrated over the level of support I received (I was on the phone for over 2 hours). If it helps- I also pay for the Nest subscription.

Hi @kids041,
Thanks for reaching out here in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest doorbell keeps disconnecting randomly. I understand how inconvenient this situation can be. I'd be happy to help!
To gather more information, I'd like to ask a few questions:
For now, I'd suggest checking if the Do Not Disturb feature is enabled. If so, please disable this option.
Please keep me posted.
Best regards,
Jenniffer

Sorry I can't help because I am having a similar problem. I too had a very specific notification sound set for detected activity for the camera and it is now gone and there no longer seems to be a way to change the notification sound.
