Google Home crashes every time it opens and I want to take an action

I’m currently facing issues in the Google Home app (iOS) whenever I open it, it gives an error message:

DNS resolution failed for googlehomefoyer-pa.googleapis.com:443:UNKNOWN:getaddrinfo(“googlehomefoyer-pa.googleapis.com:443”):nodename nor servername provided, or not known (8)

I have a Nest mini, external lighting, doorbell, vacuum cleaner connected as devices in the home app.

anyone else facing this issue or have the solution?

note that I’ve installed and de-installed the apps several times

Hey folks,

This should be resolved. Please reboot your iOS device and let us know if you're still experiencing the error message in the Google Home app.

Thank you,
Kelan

Same exact problem.  Can’t figure out a workaround or really anything…

I am having the same problem on my iPhone app, but the iPad app is working okay.

Update: I restarted my phone and the app on my phone started working fine.  I had deleted and reinstalled the app twice.  After I restarted my phone, the error message was gone, it gave me the option to sign in, choose my home again and found all my devices.
