Google Nest Cam 2nd Gen (Indoor Wired) will not reset and blue light will not appear

I have 2 Google Nest 2nd Gen (indoor wired) Cams.  One of them went offline.  I use the Google Home app.  I unplugged the camera for 30 seconds and plugged it back in and it was still offline so I removed it from the app and unplugged the camera for 30 seconds again and when I plugged it back in the white light came on but the blue light will not come on and thus I cannot re-add it to my Google Home app.  I have gone as far as resetting my wifi, removing both cameras from Google Home, Deleting the "Home" I created, removing the app from my iPhone 12, readding, recreating the home, and adding the other camera (which had no issues) but this camera will still NOT show me the blue light.  What should I do?  I have had both of these cameras for over 6 months and haven't had any issues until now with just the one camera.

Hello mrsgarfoose,

 

Thanks for posting here in the Community. We appreciate you giving us the steps that you already took on your Nest Camera. To turn on the blue LED light on your Nest Camera, you need to factory reset it. Here is the link on how to factory reset your Nest camera.

I bought a brand new camera from the Google Store and it has the same behavior. The light is blinking yellow and it never makes it to the blue light. Is it bricked? Reset button doesn't do anything.

So I figured out that my camera came with a defective power brick. I used a different one and it got enough power.

Hey everyone,

@akorch, glad to hear you're able to fix it.Usually if the Nest Camera LED lights are yellow, it means it's not getting enough power and will not let you set it up on the app.
