Google Nest Cam (2nd Gen) not showing up in Nest App

Google discontinued support for my Dropcam and sent me a new Google Nest Cam (2nd Generation).  After setting it up in Google Home, the camera is not showing up in the Nest App.  I've tried to add it through the Nest App but it just forwards me to the Google Home app, where it is already set up.

How do I see my new camera on the Nest App?

You cannot.

Google Nest decided that the newer cameras and doorbells released starting in Sept. 2021 would work in the Google Home app but NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website.

We've been using 2 apps ever since we bought one of the battery cameras 19 months ago.

That is terrible. I'm assuming that there is no browser access to the camera then?  Why do they call it a "nest" camera then?  This is disgustingly bad.

You are not the only customer wondering why they call it a "Nest" camera.

There is the home.google.com website, which currently provides livestream but no history for all Google Nest cameras and doorbells, and has been in "preview"/beta status since late October 2022, per this announcement:
