Google Nest Doorbell Battery

Recently installed the NEW Google Nest Doorbell (Battery). So far it works great, but wondering if I can some how set up my Samsung Galaxy Tablet to open the video feed when someone rings the doorbell, instead of just an sms message sent to the tablet with the notification? Seems just a bit archaic!

Hey there everyone,

I understand the want for the video feature on tablets and computers as I understand that it would be a great feature and would definitely help.

At this time, that feature is not available but I have passed this feedback forward as we are always looking to improve our products and services.

If you have any further questions or concerns please let me know.

Best regards,

Garrett DS

Looking to do the same. I want to use the tablet as a replacement to the hub max. There was talk years ago about ambient mode to mimic a nest hub but I don't see anything recent.

Hi Jeff. Have you made any progress on this? I think you need to install Google Home on the tablet for the announcement notifications.

Thanks Alan, already have Home on the tablet. I do get announcements but would like the camera video to open when the doorbell is rung.

Hi Jeff,  I think the way to do it is this:  Go into the GOOGLE HOME app and go all the way to the top menu where you see all your devices.  Hit the GEAR icon for settings and  you will see Household in the list.   Select that and use the Invite Person option.
