Google Nest Doorbell wired on 2 Phones

My wife and I each have a phone on the same mobile account. I installed the Nest Doorbell (Wired) on my phone successfully. When I tried to enable it on my wife's phone, I had a message to add her as "Family". I did, but she can't get any notifications on her phone. Can't both phones use the Doorbell video cam? If so, how?

If she now shows as a member of your household in the Google Home app or the Google Nest app, and if she turns on Push Notifications in Settings for your Nest Hello in the Google Nest app on her phone, she SHOULD also receive notifications, and be able to view the camera on the Nest Hello.

Hi folks,

Thanks for visiting the Community. No worries, let’s check this out. A few questions: have you successfully added your wife to your family account? Did she receive an email confirmation that you added her to your family account? Also, were you able to access the home location in her account where your Nest Hello doorbell (wired) is connected?

You can only view and control products in one home at a time with the Nest app. If you have another home in the app, you’ll need to switch between them.

Going over the steps here might help:

  1. At the top left corner of the app home screen, tap Menu.
  2. Tap the home you want to switch to.
  3. You’ll be taken back to the app home screen where you can find the Nest products you have in the home you’ve selected.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks,

JT
