Google Nest Indoor Camera Audio & Microphone Issues

I have a Google Nest Indoor Camera and the audio works but the microphone has stopped working. I wrote about this in a separate thread. Google's reply was:

The camera is 13.5 months old and it's out of warranty now. Buy another camera. 

I let them know that would NEVER happen again, but thanks for the support. They closed the other thread out because multiple people were complaining. So I've opened a new thread.

 

Is anyone else having issues with theirs? Any solutions you've found?

Same issue for me. These are brand new outdoor cameras as well. Using Android 12, the android user cannot be heard when using either the Google Home app or when using the Nest app on the older cameras. Worked just fine last week though. I assume it's Android since a software update was just released, but can't be for certain. Definitely not the time to be closing threads though.

I'm using iOS. It could be an app issue, but whether its the camera or the app software, it still falls on Google's hands.

It looks like I'm back in business for Android. I restarted the phones in the household that had been updated and the issue no longer exists on the nest cams (new and old). Tested with WiFi on and off as well. Unfortunately, we're not iOS users here, so can't say the same method will fix the issue. Best of luck!

Fantastic! I'm glad that you were able to get them working! I've run through those steps and it hasn't worked for me. Holding out hope for a solution.

Hey Brad,

No, my problem has not been resolved. You can see that there is an issue with this particular camera as there are many posts addressing this same issue with the microphone. I'm going to continue monitoring this post to see if anyone comes up with a solution or a firmware update fixes it. 

Very disappointed in this product.

This is a known issue, and unfortunately we do not have a solution at this time.

Yes I am having the same issue , when I bought my camera and hooked it up to my xfinity wifi, it worked perfect and I was also speaking from it when I was out of state, and then after 8 months I think it was abou that time when I switched my internet provider to AT&T & upgraded my iPhone to a 11 pro max was the first time it stopped working for me I tried many things and I searched for answers and idk what else to do so if ANYONE HAS AN IDEA AND TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO TO FIX THIS ISSUE WITH THE MICROPHONE, my audio works fine and camera also the only thing is the mic & the chime PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH A SOMETHING GOOD SO I CAN GET THIS OVER WITH BEFORE I END UP BUYING A DIFFERENT CAMERA AND SOMETHING MORE EXPENSIVE THAT WOULDNT GIVE ME ANY ISSUES LIKE NEST CAM AND RING
