I have tried contacting Google Nest Support using the "chat" option on Friday afternoon and evening, 6/24, on Saturday morning, 6/25, and again this afternoon, 6/27. All four times I selected Chat since the wait time indicated was less than one minute. All four times, however, after filling in the form to start the chat, it stalled saying "Creating chat session..." After a long wait with the chat session never starting, I tried again, and this time it said "Chat closed". This happened in both Firefox and Chrome.
It seems that Google Nest's Chat support function has been broken for the last four days.
After two of the failed attempts, I received an email from Google Nest Support saying my chat session, which in fact NEVER started, had been "interrupted". When I replied and told them what was happening, their response was "we didn't come across any issues". And when I reported this failure on the thread where a Google Nest Community Specialist said I should ask Support, the thread was locked.
So, the Chat function is broken, but Google Nest Support insists it is not.
