Google Nest Wired Doorbell ring on iPhone

Bas37
Community Member

have a Google Nest ( wired ) doorbell. There is no wired inside bell in my house. My iPhone on Nest app used to give a doorbell sound if someone rang the bell. There was also a notification. But now the doorbell sound has stopped. The doorbell camera is working fine and I can see the outside in my nest app. My phone gets a notification. But the iPhone 15 doesn’t sound the ding dong as it used to.

Hi @Bas37,

Thank you for reaching out to the community! I understand you're not receiving ring notifications on your iPhone when someone presses your doorbell, and I appreciate you mentioning that this used to work. Let me look into this for you.

Actually, it seems our system doesn't directly support using your phone as a chime. The doorbell sound typically relies on a traditional electronic chime or a connected speaker/display. I understand that you had this functionality previously, and I apologize that this isn't the experience we want you to have.

We truly value customer feedback, so I encourage you to share your thoughts on our feedback form for future updates.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I'm happy to help!

Best regards,

Debora
