I have in the Home app a Nest camera (which shows as offline) that does not actually exist. It can also not be seen in Nest app. In the settings it is assigned to my house but I can not delete it nor move it, it wants me to use Nest app and factory reset, but, it is not in Nest app either and when deleting and installing Nest app it just is not there at all still.
It all started when I had wifi issues and replaced all my mesh wifi units amd thus tried to get my outdoor wired cams back in the system. As usual trying to make a Nest camera work requires rocket science. Adding a Nest camera to my system just never went smoothly, but I have no idea which camera it now was as none are on currently (the only one that I did manage to get working has again stopped working as so often before with my old wifi system).

Hi AristoMoggie,
Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand you're experiencing two issues with your Google Nest Cameras: one camera appears offline in your app even though it doesn't exist, and a second camera has stopped working.
Regarding the "ghost" camera, the best way to remove it completely is to delete the home from your Google Home app. This will also remove any other devices in that home, so only do this if you don't have other important devices there.
To troubleshoot the camera that stopped working, please provide the following information:
Once you provide these details, I'll be more than happy to assist you.
Best regards,
Debora

I actually have 2 camera's that during a power cut sometimes do, sometimes do not, come back online. They are unreliable and most of the time I have to reset and re-enter the cameras as new, powering off and on simply does not do the trick half of the time. each of these cameras is right close to another that does not have this problem. The outdokr wired cameras do not have a reset button either which is a stupid design. The only 2 Google cameras that are semi reliable are the battery powered outdoor and my indoor cameras. I am going to get rid of the lot, too much work.
As to ghost camera, great, so I need to delete the complete home with all its info and routines, what a terrible design again.
Sorry, I am going to steer away from Google slowly as it is too cumbersome and the whole AI has made it actually even less 'I', it is going backwards. You tell it to play music on all speakers on one device, it does not play anything, you ask the same question on an other device and it does what you ask including the wayward unit. Unreliable.
