Google Nest outdoor camera 1 second flash

Google Nest cam Indoor/Outdoor battery purchased a week ago and installed on outside garage wall. Live video looks fine, but any recorded events played back contain a quick flash white 1 second flash that affects the entire screen. This could occur anywhere within the video stream. It also registers as an alert notification.

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest camera played a quick flash white. Help's here!

 

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

 

  • Is the night vision option turned on?
  • When does the white flash occur exactly?
  • Does your Nest camera work with a floodlight?
  • Does the flash appear when the camera detects a sound?
