Google Nest recognizes WiFi, but does not connect

Pharmacope

I'm now on my third attempt with a Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) and Google Nest Cam (Battery) to try and install. Each device will recognize my WiFi, but will fail to connect each time. I've tried multiple outlets, different phones, power cycles, and several devices. I am using an Xfi gateway that is capable of 2.4/5/6e, but I believe it is selecting which to frequency and disallowing my devices which are only 2.4/5 capable.

Anyone have a workaround to this issue?

We have multiple Google Nest devices, including a Google Nest Camera (Battery), running with an Xfi gateway with the same SSID for 2.4 and 5 GHz, but our gateway does not support 6e. We have not had problems adding Google Nest devices, including 3 in the last year.

What exactly happens when each device recognizes your WiFi but then fails to connect?

You may want to reach out and speak to an actual Google Nest Tech person.  Here is the link to get the process going and get on with phone support.  I believe they are 24/7.
