False positive in detection zone

I keep getting false positive notification on persons in zones.

But the person i always outside the zones.

Thanks for reaching out. Let’s sort this out — a few questions: when did you first notice the issue? What type of camera is in question? Also, how often do you receive false notifications? 

 

Here are a few things that can trigger false notifications:

 

  • Changes in the light level
  • Shadow moving across the frame. For example, if a cloud moves in front of the sun.
  • Trees or bushes swaying near the customer’s important areas.
  • Headlights or flashing entering the field of view.

It happens once or twice a week, but not every time someone walks by.
It is the Nest Hello Doorbell
It's been several months.

As shown on photos there is a person in the camera view but not in one of the detectionzones. Still the algorithm thinks its inside.

My suggestion would be to remove your Activity Zones, restart your device, restart your phone/app, and then add the zones back in and monitor it for a little longer to see if you see any changes. Please let me know if you need further assistance after you try those steps.
