Google Tv live view of nest camera

When I ask my Google tv to show me the camera it says alright showing video from camera but then the screen goes Grey and has a white video camera that is crossed out. 

I have updated the Google tv to the latest and I have tried the doorbell camera, nest camrea with battery, all with the same results. 

Tried on a second Google tv and does the same. 

Is this not possible on a Google tv? I'm not using a plug in stick the TV is a goole tv.

Any ideas?

Thanks for posting here in the Community. To confirm, are they all connected on the same Wifi network? How far is the distance of each device? How many home structures do you have? Try restarting your Wifi network and Nest devices. Let us know how it goes.

I have a home network, the google tvs are plugged in via a land line, the camereas are on the WIFI, all on the same network. I did remove the land line from the TV and put the TV on the same wifi network and still see the camera with a slash through it. The TV is updated, the camereas are updated. Still do not have video streamed to any TV. Only phones through the home app.

I too have this issue. I haven't been successful at viewing my nest cams on my google tv from day 1. Gray screen with a white crossed out camera. I have tried all troubleshooting procedures with no success. Same WiFi network and all that jazz. I would love to be able to get this working, because I LOVE my Google Home

@Jeremyk409, thanks for getting back to us. To know more about this, I'd like to ask, is this the first time you tried to live stream your Nest Camera and Nest Doorbell to your Google TV? What is the make and model of your Google TV? Try restarting your affected devices and try it again.

I have a Sony Bravia 4K VH2. I have power cycled and factory reset the TV as well as my network. Reconnected everything, and still can't see my cameras on my TV

Hi CKottmann,

Have you been able to reach out to Sony regarding this issue to see if they are aware of any outages? Chromecast built-in is open-source software, so they are free to modify it as they see fit, and that could create any bugs or issues that only Sony would be aware of. Let us know your update here.
