I have had orginal nest doorbell and it was great loves nest app, but old doorbell started to waer out and internal battery was dead.  So got a new Google nest doorbell (battery) and it dosent work as well.  First it dosent record 24/7 and mark my events. It only records events and miss alot of motion.  Also I want to be able to use nest app to view and control. The Google home app is terrible.  I want to open app and see my doorbell, thermostat, and locks. Not have to search though device and have to select the want I want to control.

Please help Nest doorbell was better than the ring.  This version is not.

Since the 2nd gen Google Nest Battery Doorbell runs on battery power, it cannot record 24/7 and can only record events it detects. If you want 24/7 recording, you would need to get the 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell, along with a Nest Aware Plus subscription.

This Help topic details the coverage for each device and subscription level:

Also, the 2nd gen doorbells and cameras work only in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app.

The internal battery has failed in all three of our 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbells, so we turned off the "Indoor chime" option so they wouldn't go offline when the doorbell button was pressed. (We rely instead on "Visitor announcements" on our Nest Hubs) We also have silicone "skins" on all three doorbells because they all started to peel, but all three doorbells continue to work.

But I have the doorbell hardwired to power so I should be able record 24/7 correct?

No.  In the Help link I provided, it says "24/7 video history isn't available for the Nest Doorbell (battery), even with optional wired installation."

This Help topic says "If you’ve connected your Nest Doorbell (battery) to your existing doorbell wiring, the wires don’t directly power the doorbell. Instead, the battery is trickle charged by the power that comes through the wires, and the doorbell runs off the battery charge":
