I’ve been a long time nest user. I have many many home products. I went to buy additional cameras from the ones I already have and was sad to learn that they will not sync to the Nest App.
I’m sorry but the Google Home app is complete garbage in comparison to the Nest app and I just want them to work and I’m so freaking sad. I haven’t even set up one of the two pack that I purchased because it’s so disheartening they would suddenly make a change like this.

We found this out a year ago when we bought the battery camera, and have been using 2 apps ever since.
Google Nest has just announced that it will soon be releasing major updates to the Google Home app. Hopefully, this includes moving functionality from the Google Nest app into the Google Home app, and enabling our older Google Nest cameras and doorbells to be fully functional in the Google Home app. These are their posts:

Hey folks,
Thank you for your feedback on this, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest cams in the Nest app or available on https://goo.gle/3A7x7ug web app.
However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A nest aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.
Best regards,
Brad

Hello Brad
It’s a shame the Google home app UX, one of the most things I liked in the nest app is how you can see the video history.
So If Google want us to use the home app it should provide the sabe features and usability that we have on the Nest app. If Google don’t do this I will unfortunately sell my camera and go to another cam with a mora user friendly experience and a good video story. The way we see video history on the Google home app is not good at all.

Hi Pentag,
Thanks for posting here in the community. The new Nest cameras and Nest doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with the new Nest device models. Our team is working hard to deliver more features to give our customers a smoother experience and we’ll take this as feedback. If you have other questions and concerns, feel free to let me know.
Thanks,
Emerson
