Pasted below are the battery life categories that Google posts on its website for the Nest Cam Battery. It suggests that a "busy environment" is 20-25 recorded events per day. To call this misleading would be an understatement. We put this camera (2nd gen model) in our toddler's nursery and I counted over 125 recorded events in one day, and the actual battery life in a truly busy environment like this is about two weeks. I have to assume that placing this camera in a family room or kitchen would likely result in well over 200 events per day, unless the house is empty all day.
Google must know that these battery life claims are bogus. We have two battery cameras, and the second camera is in an area that currently sees no activity throughout the day (the last six days have zero recorded events), and based my experience the battery life is a few months max. It's unclear to me how anyone could achieve seven months of battery from one of these cameras.
It would be helpful it Google would post honest battery life stats on its website instead of these inaccurate claims:

Hey HLBBBH,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. I understand that those are just some typical scenarios and not the exact battery expectancy for the battery of your Nest Camera. Its battery life will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and selected camera settings. You can extend the battery life of your camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas.
Regards,
Emerson

Yeah, I'm aware that those settings can be adjusted, but that doesn't negate anything I said. The battery stats that Google lists are intentionally misleading.
