Nest Cam (Battery) Weatherproof Cables Too Long

Hi,

I've seen other posts related to this, but just wondering if there is any chance that a shorter weatherproof cable (say 1m) might become able for the Google Nest Cam (Indoor/Outdoor) Battery Cameras? The supplied cable (1m) is not weatherproof, and the available weatherproof cables (5m and 10m) are too long for situations where there is nearby power. In my case, the ideal cable would be 30cm long, but 1m would be acceptable. 5m and 10m lengths lead to unsightly long cables that need to be managed - not to mention unnecessary cost. Why isn't a shorter weatherproof cable available as an option?
