When I bought my doorbell I went through the home app to connect it. It would
1. "search for new devices".
2. Find a "google wifi pucks"(which I don't own..
Maybe my neighbor).
3. I select "connect a different device"
4. Scan the QR code for my doorbell.
5. It starts searching
6. Comes back with step 2 wifi pucks.
I can repeat this as many times as I want and it always says the same thing. (Tried 6 times before I quit).
Now.... At some point it just worked. Now we are 8 months later and the doorbell stopped connecting. So I followed all the troubleshooting steps all the way to a factory reset.
Now I have to go through the whole thing again. Is it a problem with home app? Is it a problem with the doorbell? Personally I think it's a problem that I should just switch everything to Amazon.

That seems quite odd unless you're on a Wi-Fi network that you share with your neighbor.

I am not. I agree. Quite odd.

I've been having trouble connecting our doorbell/camera to the WiFi since we got a new router. The information stayed the same, but it's not connecting to the device. I've gotten as far as connecting to the doorbell via Google Home, but then it says to check if both devices are on the same network. No idea how to get the camera to be on the same WiFi as everything else. I've already factory reset it 2 times now, both of which didn't do anything. It's now flashing blue like it's ready to connect. It fails every time to connect to the WiFi through Google Home.
I have a Google doorbell (battery).
Any ideas or help?

Hello there,
Thanks for posting in the community!
I understand it's really frustrating when you are facing these types of scenarios with the network on the Google Home App. Since you all have tried to factory reset the device, there are more troubleshooting we can try:
Hopefully, doing these steps might solve this situation. If you have any further questions for me, feel free to reply to this post!
Best regards,
Nery.
