Hi everyone, new to the Google doorbells, had ring with their associated audio problems for many years and gave up...
Just installed the Google Nest battery doorbell and all seems working OK, however I was having problems on playback and when I turned on my phone mic to talk. In both cases the audio from the doorbell went quiet.
When just opening the app I can hear all that's happening outside on a live stream and the volume control on my Galaxy S23 Ultra alters this volume. However when I playback a recorded event, or turn on the microphone to start a Talk and Listen, phone volume went silent and volume control did nothing.
Turns out in those situations the app switches to Media volume controls but the buttons on the phone operate phone volume. My media volume was at zero and I was not able to adjust it. I had to click on the 3 dots to expand to all volumes and manually adjust media.
Whilst I can now hear, it means during a talk and listen or playback of an event, I can not alter the volume by just pressing the buttons.
Anyone else have this or a fix? All apps and operating system at latest versions/updates.
Cheers, Dave.

I have tried and checked everything you mentioned and used on another older Samsung phone (I dont own any other brands), the issue is during the above mentioned situations the app switches to using media volume control but the volume buttons remain with the phone call volume control. The only current option is hit volume, select the 3 dots and manually slide the media volume control.
Between this and useless notifications when used on Samsung I am seriously considering returning this and getting another Ring product. At least I can adjust the volume and know when someone has rung the doorbell.

Hi guys, has there been any updates oin this issue? Surely I can't be the only person this is happening to when its the same on both my Samsung devices? The Talk and Listen volume appears to have been fixed, but playback of existing recordings is still not able to use the volume controls.
