Home recent events - Unable to load message (Nest Outdoor)

Since updating to Android 12, the history, recent events no longer loads the videos.  I have cleared data/cache and reinstalled the App, but still when i go to the recent events in history, a blurred image is shown for a split second, then the tile says 'Unable to load', try again.

when i go to 'all history' i can see the event types, ie, person, movement, vehicle etc, but again the image to the right doesn't appear and only had an 'i' in the middle.

This only started to happen when my phone updated to the latest Android version, 12 with OneUI 4.0.

Any ideas?

I am getting exactly the same issue. Very strange as the images display and then dissappear.

Same issue. I didn't notice if it was after an update but have had the app for a month now and never got it to work!

I have the same issue after updating to android 12. Also there is no preview of camera events in the swipe down notifications. Previously notifications could be opened and expanding a Google home camera notification would reveal a preview of the event. This was very useful to quickly decide whether the footage needed to be viewed in more detail. I have tried all of the usual fixes to no avail. Please can you look into this.

Issue still persists.  Phone has been updated, i have uninstalled Google Home all to no avail.  no fix available right now

Same here.  The home app does not display thumbnail previews in the Home history.  It displays the images briefly but then the images are all replaced with an 'i' in a circle.

Hey folks.

Thanks for your feedback on this issue! It does not work the same with the 2021 cameras as they used too. Are you still able to view the event/footage? Is the issues more that there is no preview? Have you tried to Restart or Factory Reset your device?

I have the 2021 cameras and the issue is with the preview as previously stated. It is possible to view the event footage just fine however since the phone updated to android 12 the preview has not been available in both the app and in the swipe down notification panel.

I hope this issue will be resolved soon, but I am afraid I do not have an ETA. I would suggest you restart your devices, check for updates and wait for a solution.
