Horribly Peeling Doorbell

ChanelP

I’m livid! Over $200 for an item that less than 2 years later looks like I’ve had it a lifetime. This Google Nest doorbell is under a covered front porch that doesn’t get direct sunlight, as the door/entry sits back further than the porch itself and yet the covering is severely peeling. It’s unsightly and upon contacting customer service I was told “well your service works so this isn’t an issue.” When indeed it is! Especially when I see other speaking of having this issue and getting their replaced. My porch furniture is peeling or discolored, so why would something else made to be outside be doing so??? I’m so upset with how customer service handled this issue or didn’t handle it I should say. This makes me overly hesitant to ever consider purchasing Google products moving forward.

It's de-laminating. Do you live near salt water like a beach front?

I don't. I live in Atlanta, so beaches and salt water are a little far from me.
