How do I create a time-lapse film?

I am building a house and wonder how I can create a time-lapse of the Nest Cam footage? The camera is plugged in and I am subscribed to Nest Aware Plus.

Just out of curiosity, what you are hoping for? Time lapse could be 2 minutes of playing time for 10 minutes of actual time.  Or it could be 2 minutes of play time for an entire day.  If the Nest Cam (battery) is connected to power and you have subscribed to Nest Aware Plus you can use 24/7 recording.

I think this is how it would have to be done: The Google Home app does not support creating a timelapse itself. So, you would need to download the video clip to a device and use a video editing app to create the timelapse.

Not sure why this was an accepted solution.
The anser is, "YOU CAN'T"
In their wisdom, Google has decided to remove the functionality needed to create clips.
If you get a new camera, you can not add it to the nest Home app, you have to add it to the Google Home App, which does not provide the ability to create clips from the video.
Leave it to Google to force a replacement APP on us, and not provide the same functionality.
