How to Change Still Images of Video Cameras in Google when cameras are off

DHT

When I go to the Video Cameras section in Google Home, the still image of some of the cameras are the original image when I first turned on the camera during setup... they're totally irrelevant to the views of the camera where they are currently located. How can I change this image? In my NEST APP when a camera is off, it shows Black Screen...  that's OK, but in Google Home, the new indoor/Outdoor cameras show some weird images...

Hi DHT,

Thanks for sharing that with us and I can understand that. Could you please send us a screenshot of your camera thumbnail in the Google Home app so we can have a better look?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

JT

I guess there is no way to change the image. One suggestion by Nest Employee was to remove the camera, reset it and reinstall it — this time making sure to point the camera to the image you want to save. Since I purchased the outdoor cable and the cameras now run 24/7, and I have a full subscription, I don’t have to turn off the cameras off. So I can always see what the cameras see when I go to the app.
