Two nest cam (battery) units were installed more than a month back hard wired. Did not realize that at installation to select plugged in, was not very clear. Assumed that devices would automatically know it is hard wired.
How to correct it to say plugged in, one of the device actually ran out of battery.

We've had a battery camera since Sept. 2021, plugged in with the optional 10-meter power cable. It's been "Live" and online ever since, and we've never had to charge the battery, There is no way to specify that the camera is plugged in AFTER you have installed it. It's been awhile since we installed it, but I think there is an option DURING the install process to specify that the camera is plugged in. And I've seen posts in this forum from customers who purchased the optional power cable AFTER having installed their camera, and found that they had to remove their camera, do a factory reset, and reinstall it in order for it to recognize that it was plugged in.
Note that the power cable needs to be plugged into the bottom of the camera with the power cable feeding towards the FRONT of the camera, and sometimes that proprietary USB plug doesn't always seat firmly into the base of the camera.
