How to either automatically backup nest camera video locally.

I am looking for a way to automatically backup all video footage to a local device. I have a few option currently available. One is to a pc/server the other is to my unifi dream machine pro se. If there is a way to do this that requires additional hardware what would that be? I will end up have a variety of the nest cameras, battery, flood, doorbell ect. I also have the best aware subscription. If any other info is needed please let me know.

Thanks for visiting the Community. I’m sorry for the delayed response. You can download your past video recording to your computer.

Here’s how: 

1. Go to https://goo.gle/2xYDHFv.
2. Under create a new export/archive, click select data to include the products that were selected all by default. Click deselect all and scroll down and look for Nest.
3. Select advanced settings and select video history.
4. Scroll down, click the next step.
5. Select create export/archive.
6. Confirm it is in-progress.

The time it takes to download your Nest date would depend on the file size. Once the download is complete you’ll receive an email confirmation. It creates a folder where it saves your Nest data.
